Bundle Grid Builder in your theme

Selling WordPress themes? The theme author license lets you bundle Grid Builder Pro in your themes. Your buyers get the Pro features with the theme, without a key of their own; you ship its updates with your theme updates.

What you get

• Two tiers: one theme, or all the themes you sell. Billed yearly.
• Any number of sites of your buyers: bundled copies don’t need activation.
• Updates of Pro for as long as your license is paid: activate your key on your own sites (development, demo — as many as you need) to get them.
• Developer support for building Grid Builder into your theme.

Bundle it

1. Put the Pro zip in your theme, for example your-theme/plugins/vlthemes-grid-builder-pro.zip.
2. Have the theme install both plugins: the free Grid Builder from WordPress.org and Pro from your theme — with TGM Plugin Activation, for example.
3. Turn Pro on for your buyers with the filter below. Pro then works without a key and asks for no activation.

Updates and support for your buyers

Bundled copies are updated through your theme: when a new Pro version is out, put its zip in your theme and release a theme update. Your buyers ask you for help, as with the rest of your theme; you ask us.

License terms

Grid Builder Pro is GPL software. The theme author license is what gives you its updates, support and the right to sell it as part of your themes:

• Bundle it only inside your themes, as a part of them — one theme or all of yours, as your tier says.
• Don’t sell or give away Grid Builder Pro on its own, or in a collection of plugins.
• Don’t share your license key with your buyers: they get Pro through the bundle.
• You may name Grid Builder in your theme’s description and screenshots.
• When the license isn’t renewed, the themes you sold keep the version they have; you just stop getting new ones.
